SolidEdge V20 & Teamcenter 64Bit possible...?

First post here...I have a couple of questions and I wanted to ask some advice...
Firstly we are thinking of upgrading to Dell T7500 workstations in my company and I have been asked whether it is worth the money. Currently we are using 32Bit T5400 dell's and working with extremely large assemblies hence I thought the extra memory would be good. BUT is it possible to run SolidEdge with Teamcenter on a 64Bit system?
Also one of the reasons this has come up is because of how slow it can be for us working with SolidEdge through Teamcenter. For example it can take 10 minutes to open an assembly with approx 400 parts...yet if we open the same assembly outside Teamcenter it takes 30 seconds...however surely this is a network issue and not the workstation performance?
Thanks in advance...
